Treatment
Improving your mental health, supporting stress management, and coping with other everyday psychological challenges.
Prevention is a central component of our work. We understand that improving your mental health lies not only in overcoming crises but also in actively preventing stress in everyday life. We aim to support you in leading a balanced and fulfilled life by teaching you strategies at an early stage to minimise stress and mental strain.
Modern everyday life is characterised by a variety of challenges, which can often lead to an increased level of stress. Stress is a natural reaction of the body to stressful situations and can have a motivating effect in the short term. Long-term and chronic stress, on the other hand, can have a negative impact on physical and mental health. Stress can be triggered by a wide variety of factors, be it professional pressure, financial worries, interpersonal conflicts or the constant overstimulation caused by digital media. Everyone reacts differently to stressors and it is important to recognise that stress is an individual experience.
Time pressure, constant change and high work intensity due to growing responsibility in a fast-paced everyday life lead to increasing mental stress. For example, work results, as well as the ability to motivate and coexist, all suffer long before a corresponding diagnosis is made. Gradual emotional exhaustion is the main risk factor for stress-related mental illness, but it doesn't need to reach this point. We would like to offer you tools for self-regulation and stress management through preventative programmes, taught by M.Sc.-Psych. Josefine Förster. By recognising and activating personal resources, participants strengthen their own resilience in order to face the challenges of daily and professional life in a stable manner and emerge from crises unscathed. Using methods from the field of mindfulness and relaxation techniques, as well as targeted knowledge transfer on psychological topics, we aim to improve your resilience and ability to work under pressure.
